Kronos Quartet Concert
I am pasting an announcement about a concert by my favorite modern "classical quartet." I am still debating to go -- or not, but wanted to pass on the word.

The Honolulu Chamber Music Series presents the fourth concert of its 2005-2006 season. The Kronos Quartet includes David Harrington (violin), John Sherba (violin), Hank Dutt (viola), and Jeffrey Ziegler (cello)

I enjoyed the Kronos Quartet on the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack, but that is all I know of their music. It gets kind of repetitive and trance-like though. You have to be in a certain mood for that one.
I'm debating about whether to go to the Elvis Costello concert, which will be part of the Honolulu Symphony Pops series. I'm not normally a big fan of classical/ chamber music, but I do like Elvis Costello...
Quandary.
Before tackling such fun (Elvis & Bono within a week of each other!), I must get through orals first. Sigh.

I never saw that film, but Kronos did an excellent soundtrack for an excellent film Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters which IMDB shows is still banned in Japan.
