Honolulu Printmakers Sale

You still have 7 hours of print shopping possibilities on Sunday. The Honolulu Printmakers benefit sale continues on Sunday (25 November) from 10 am to 5 pm at the Academy Art Center at Linekona. It is a great way to support local the art scene, and get some great prints.


When I first came to Hawaii I was really overwhelmed by the kitsch masquerading as art in galleries. The image of "neon dolphins" comes to mind as an example. It was really revealing to check out the Hawaii State Art Museum (free!) (next to Iolani Palace) and to discover some of the diverse art created here.
